Gaggia Anima and Magenta: Force Prime

If your new Gaggia Anima or Gaggia Magenta won’t pull water on first startup (often showing a “ventilate/prime” prompt or a no-flow error), the pump may be “dry-locked.” This guide shows how to force prime the water circuit by briefly feeding water into the inlet while the pump runs. It also explains how to “trick” the tank sensor so the machine will run the prime cycle without the tank in place.
