Remove the portafilter completely. Locate the Phillips screw holding the shower screen up in the group head. Remove the screw (it’s short) and take down the shower screen. You may need to gently pry/“pick” it free if it’s stuck. Inspect the back of the shower screen for coffee oils/resin buildup. Clean thoroughly (brush + rinse; soaking optional). Hold it up to a light to confirm the holes are open and clear.
