This guide walks you through removing the boiler spout assembly on Gaggia Magenta models so you can check for clogged flow paths and inspect the two sealing O-rings for wear or damage. Remove the drip tray from the machine.Open the service door and remove the brew group.Remove the internal tray (the tray area where the brew group sits) so you can access the panel in front of the boiler spout location.Using a T10 screwdriver, remove the four screws holding the access plate in place.Lift and pull the plate out from the bottom first, then pull it down and out of the top slot to release the top tab.Set the plate and the four screws aside.Using the T10 screwdriver, remove the two black screws that secure the boiler spout assembly.Grip the boiler spout in the middle (between the two O-rings), gently wiggle it, and pull outward until it slides free.Confirm both O-rings are still on the boiler spout neck. If an O-ring stayed behind in the machine opening, use a pick to carefully remove it and reinstall it onto the boiler spout neck.Inspect both O-rings for tears, nicks, or other damage that could cause leaking.If an O-ring looks flawed, remove it (a pick can help) and replace it with a new O-ring.Locate the valve shaft area on the boiler spout (the shaft sits in channels on each side).Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot, hold the spout securely, push inward, and rotate the shaft across the channel to release it.If the shaft is stuck, use a pick to carefully pry up under the peg to help it pop free, keeping your finger over it so it does not fly out.Pull the shaft out.Remove the internal spring and the plastic piece with the rubber seal, and set them aside.Look inside the valve body and check for buildup or residue (for example, coffee residue) that could restrict flow.Check that the passage is clear:You can blow air into the inlet to see if air comes through, orUse a paper clip (or similar small probe) to gently pass through the channel and confirm there is no obstruction.Reinstall the plastic piece and spring into the valve body with the plastic piece and rubber seal oriented upward, and the spring positioned downward in the bore.Position the shaft so its two small arms align with the two slots at the top of the valve body.Press down to compress the spring, then use a flat blade screwdriver to push down and rotate the shaft back in the opposite direction (counterclockwise) until it locks into its resting position in the channels.Confirm both O-rings are installed on the boiler spout neck.Line the boiler spout up with the two mounting pegs and push it fully into place.Install the two black T10 screws and tighten only until they stop. Do not over-tighten.Insert the top tab of the access plate into its slot first.Push the plate into place.Install the four stainless T10 screws and tighten only until they stop.Reinstall the internal tray.Reinstall the brew group and close the service door.Reinstall the drip tray.
