E61 Group Thermometer Overview

If you’re looking to more accurately calculate the temperature of your E61 group head during idle conditions, as well as the temperature of your water near the coffee puck during a given brew cycle, this E61 Group Thermometer will do the trick.

Installing this thermometer on a “standard” E61 group head requires no drilling, soldering, cutting or adhesive. Simply screw it into a fully exposed group head with an M6 connection. The face of the group head includes a digital temperature display and a button to change between Fahrenheit and Celsius, as well as a “play” button to begin recording temperature and a “pause” button to hold the thermometer at a given temperature.

Please note the difference between the temperature recorded by the thermometer and the measured temperature of water reaching the puck will vary a few degrees. This is completely normal. The amount of variance depends on the machine used, as well as different brew conditions.
