A loud pump can potentially be a sign of a pump that is on its last legs. With an older machine, it likely needs to be replaced. Before deciding if that is the way to go, be sure to check out the pump mount to ensure the pump is properly secured. The Nickel-Plated Pump Mount Screw is 3.5mm in diameter and 9.5mm in length. The easiest way to find a replacement will always be to take the screw itself from your machine to a local hardware store and avoid shipping costs.
