Cone and Flat Bottom Brewing
Inserts for both cone and flat bottom coffee filters are included with the Luxe Brewer. Use cones to emphasize acidity and fruitiness or flat bottom for richer, more floral and chocolaty notes.
Breville's Luxe Brewer™ is a flexible, SCA certified coffee maker that can produce up to 12 cups of Golden Cup coffee. Based on your coffee and flavor preferences, the Luxe can be fitted with both cone and flat bottom coffee filters and features a wide range of customizable brewing variables to help you prepare your perfect coffee, including cold brew.
At the heart of the Luxe brewer, the interchangeable brew basket inserts allow you to brew one of several ways. The included metal mesh filter is reusable and can be washed and re-inserted indefinitely. This style of filter produces a heavier bodied cup with more oils. The cone insert can be used to brew 2 - 8 cups at a time with more clarity and acidity and the flat bottom paper can be used for 8 - 12 cups and emphasizes more chocolate and floral notes.
The Luxe has been SCA certified based on Golden Cup standards for temperature and brew time for its standard brew cycle. The Custom Brew feature allows you to set custom bloom volumes and times as well as your desired brew temperature. If you want to make cold brew, the Luxe also features a programmable cold brew function that can be set to steep coffee between 30 minutes and 36 hours before dispensing into your carafe.
You can program the Luxe's clock and Delayed Start feature to power on and start brewing automatically, up to 24 hours in advance. Brewed coffee can stay hot at above 150° F for up to four hours in the insulated thermal carafe.
The Luxe Brewer is an automatic coffee maker that has just enough features to let you experiment and brew your coffee the way you like. Thanks to the Golden Cup brew quality, making great coffee is easy, but you have the ability to play with things like the interchangeable filters and of course cold brew when you want to shake things up.
