The Fellow Opus 2 is an all-purpose single-dose grinder that delivers impressive performance and features at a competitive entry level price. Coffee is ground with a set of 48mm conical steel burrs with smooth stepless grind adjustment for greater precision. Up to 100g of coffee can be ground at a time with included accessories for dosing into both manual filter devices like pour over cones and French presses as well as portafilters for espresso.

Grinding utilizes an automatic stop function to simplify the single-dosing workflow. If you're looking to go all-in with a Fellow espresso setup, the color, wood accents, and form factor of the Opus 2 are designed to be paired with the Fellow Espresso Series 1 espresso machine.

All-Purpose Grind Range

The Opus 2 is capable of all-purpose grinding and can comfortably be paired with espresso machines like the Fellow Espresso Series 1 and coffee makers like the Fellow Aiden. The 48mm conical burrs help reduce heat generation while grinding through increased efficiency and grind sizes range from cold brew coarse to espresso fine. The conical burrs, coupled with a built-in ionizer help reduce retention to near zero.

Included with the Opus 2 are a 100g catch cup for filter coffee and a 30g catch cup with 54 and 58mm portafilter adapters for espresso. The cups are designed with magnetic bases to securely "lock" in underneath the grinds chute.

Stepless Adjustment

A major improvement over the Opus Gen 1 is the Opus 2's stepless grinding adjustment. Most grinders at this price point have fixed burr movement that limit precision when changing grind size. The Opus 2's fully stepless grind adjustment unlocks much greater control over your grind to achieve better results in the cup.

The current grind setting is clearly identified with a small red tick-mark that lines up with the numbered collar to indicate your selected grind size.

Simple Workflow

The single-dose design of the Opus 2 is designed for easy operation for any amount of coffee and any brew method. Simply select your desired grind size and load up to 100g of whole bean coffee into the grinder. Once you start grinding, the Opus 2 will stop automatically once all of the coffee has been ground, allowing you to complete a grind cycle in just one push.
