The LX Edison 65 is a high performance luxury home espresso grinder that combines the best of Conti Valerio engineering and Studio Paoli design sense. The grinder is equipped with a pair of 65mm flat steel burrs and a 320W motor. Double shots up to 18g can be ground in less than 7 seconds and the use of premium materials such as the glass touch display and metal legs put the grinder in a class of its own.
Core to the LX series of grinders is the universal all-metal housing and crystal-clear glass touch display. The Edison 65 has a set of 65mm burrs and a 320W motor to grind coffee at 1,650RPM for an output between 2.3-2.8g/sec depending on grind fineness. Grinding noise is significantly reduced to roughly 60db via the inclusion of silent technology, and static and clumps are eliminated from ground coffee via the ACE System (Anti Clumps & Electrostaticity).
Grind adjustment is managed by the stepless micrometric regulation system, allowing users to to make incredibly precise adjustments with the comfortable knob to the right of the display. Because the top burr is stationary, when opening the Edison 65 for regular maintenance, your grind setting is preserved. This eliminates the need for dialing your grinder back in. Single and double doses can be programmed within 1/10th of a second via the touch display; you can also lock your doses to prevent accidental changes as well as grind continuously using the manual “Extra Dose” mode.
Rounding out the Edison are its adjustable metal portafilter fork for hands-free grinding and the shatter resistant 250g Tritan bean hopper which sparkles like glass.
The LX Edison 65 blends high function and high fashion in a way previously unheard of in contemporary home espresso grinders. With all-metal housing and a clean glass display, the Edison 65 pairs perfectly with the aesthetics of a prosumer espresso machine. It delivers a fluffy double shot of espresso in under 7 seconds with no clumping and high uniformity. On the other hand, ultra-precise adjustments are easy to achieve with the stepless micrometric regulation system.
Grinding at only 60db, the comfortable noise level betrays grind speeds of up to 2.8g/sec. Grinds are fluffy and uniform thanks to the 65mm burrs and the antistatic and anti-clumping ACE system for flawless espresso extractions. Stepless micrometric adjustment also allows for super smooth refining of your grind to make dialing-in your grind simple.
Intuitive, receptive, and crystal clear, the circular glass touchscreen seamlessly blends modernity with ergonomic control. The center of the display is adorned with the distinctive and elegantly understated LX logo.
All housing materials on the Edison are made of metal with the notable exception of the shatter-resistant Tritan bean hopper, which sparkles like glass but can withstand rapid descent into your kitchen floor.
The Edison features a programmable single and double dose that can be set within 1/10 of a second for precision dispensing. For manual dosing, the continuous “Extra Dose” allows you to start and stop the grinder by pressing and holding the crown on the screen.
