PID Controlled Dual Boilers
Set precise, degree-by-degree temperatures for the brew boiler, and choose one of four temperature presets for the steam boiler.
The Gaggia Classic GT pushes the boundaries of functionality as we’ve come to expect from modern, prosumer-grade dual-boilers. With dual-PIDs, options for manual and automated pre-infusion, and a large, intuitive screen, the GT gives you the power necessary to consistently coax nuanced flavors from specialty coffees with every extraction. At Whole Latte Love we are proud to offer a unique version of the Classic GT with features distinct to the North American market.
With dual boilers and dual-PID regulation, the Gaggia Classic GT offers exceptional brew temperature stability with the ability to independently set the temperature in each boiler. The GT is equipped to handle any coffee you throw at it with a set of three automatic low-flow pre-infusion cycles with both active and passive pre-infusion phases as well as a fully manual mode which gives you complete control over both. The GT accomplishes all this and more thanks to a custom designed control board that unlocks unparalleled features in combination with incredible dual boiler performance. It also features a custom designed and externally accessible OPV, which allows you to customize extractions by setting your brew pressure within a wide range of 3 - 15 bar.
The GT’s low-flow pre-infusion is its most exciting feature. Press and hold the toggle to initiate a low-flow pre-infusion at around 3 grams per second, which the machine times for you. Once you’ve reached your desired pre-infusion time, release the toggle and the GT begins timing your soaking period, during which water is allowed time to soak into the puck before extraction. Then, just press the brew toggle to begin your full-pressure extraction. For the North American version of the Classic GT, the three automatic pre-infusion cycles are as follows:
The Classic GT is also equipped with a flow meter and can be programmed to pull automatic shots volumetrically, a feature that can be combined with the pre-infusion cycles for unparalleled automatic brewing.
The GT is designed and built entirely in Italy from commercial-grade components. Its stainless steel housing is remarkably thick, providing serious protection for the internals: a 3.38 oz eco-brass brew boiler and 0.9 L stainless steel steam boiler. In our testing, the GT is capable of pulling multiple back to back shots with minimal impact on temperature stability. When it comes to steaming, the GT impresses, too. Gaggia built a custom steam valve just for this machine made of heavy duty brass with the Gaggia logo. There are four steam temperatures: 248°, 257°, 266°, 275° and it takes just 20 seconds to heat 5 oz of milk to 140°F at the highest setting. The GT also uses a fast heat up feature that gets you brew-ready in just five minutes and full steam power in seven.
When not steaming, the Classic GT can be switched into a lower temperature hot water mode which reduces the steam boiler temperature to eliminate excess steam and sputtering when dispensing hot water for Americanos. This can also act as a power saver as it lowers the steam boiler temperature, but will allow for quick heat up to full pressure.
Settings are adjusted using a large, easy-to-read, color-TFT screen with a series of highly-responsive capacitive-touch buttons. This menu allows you to adjust brew and steam temperatures, select one of three automated pre-infusion profiles, daily wake-up scheduling, shutoff timer, eco mode, Fahrenheit or Celsius measurement, and more with ease. The machine also uses a series of five toggle switches that control the main power, manual pre-infusion, brewing, hot water, and steam.
The Gaggia Classic GT offers a unique feature set with the brand’s legendary build quality and a price point that simply can’t be beat. The precise PID-regulated boilers, low-flow pre-infusion, and intuitive display make producing café-quality beverages on the GT easier than on just about any other prosumer out there. So, whether you’re one of the tens of thousands of Gaggia Classic fans and ready to level up your brewing experience, or you just want a best-value prosumer-grade dual boiler, the Gaggia Classic GT is more than worthy of your consideration.
Set precise, degree-by-degree temperatures for the brew boiler, and choose one of four temperature presets for the steam boiler.

Adjust brew pressure without removing any housing, so you can dial in the perfect extraction for your preference.

Automated 3g/sec low flow pre-infusion settings are optimized for light, medium, and dark-roasted coffees, or manually adjust active, low-flow wetting and soak time for each shot.

The GT features a 2.4” color TFT display that uses clear iconography to make menu navigation easy and intuitive.
